BEAUTY AND STRENGTH
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 20, 2015.
“I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvellously made!”- Psalm 139:14 (MSG)
I congratulate the entire family of God Vineyard Ministries on ‘The Excellent Woman’s Conference.’ Like the song writer wrote; ‘all things great and beautiful, the Lord made them all.’ Of course the Lord intentionally and carefully sculptured humanity especially the women. God has made each one of us wonderfully complex; a people created for His glory.
We have encountered God through His visitation to us. He has revealed who He made us to be; a combination of beauty and strength. Therefore, we have to change our perception of ourselves, and begin to see ourselves in the light of God’s Word. None of us is an afterthought, none of us was created by accident or by mistake. Each one of us is supernaturally and naturally endowed with divine virtues to reign in life and fulfil our great destiny.
Each of us, wherever we are represents God in His awesomeness and Majesty. We are His express image, we are to express His Glory packaged in us. God in us is the strength in us, so we can do what He can do. He has chosen us in order to reveal himself; His power and His beauty, His character and His strength in us and through us.
“However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.”- 2 Corinthians 4:7 (AMP)
So you and I, male or female, have the Spirit of God, the same Spirit that makes God to be God. The Lord is the strength of our lives. So we have what it takes to live triumphantly, to confront any situation or power and overcome, we are more than conquerors. We are of the breed of the Lion of the tribe of Judah; we are Lions, we are not grasshoppers!
“A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;”- Proverbs 30:30 (KJV)
Let the daughters of Zion arise, let Deborahs of this generation arise and take their place at home, in the Church and in our different communities, let’s begin a rebuilding work, let’s launch out.
“Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying, “ GOD has lost track of me. He doesn’t care what happens to me”? Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? GOD……..energises those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon GOD get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.”- Isaiah 40:27-31 MSG
Choose to rely on God who is the source of your strength. Choose to wait on Him, rest on Him and in Him. Let us arise from here revealing the beauty of God in us to the world. Let us brighten the world around us with our beauty whereby we attract people to God. Multitudes will hold our skirts insisting on following us to our God who has made our lives so colourful. It’s time to come out of our shells, break free from the cocoon, and fly out in beautiful colours and become a delight to our world!
Once again, we have received the Word of God, our world has been turned around; beauty for ashes, strength for weakness, joy for sorrow, success for failure, hope for despair. God has made a new investment into our lives. We have been created anew, we have been re-engineered for greater and unprecedented performance to build God’s Kingdom.
‘Let your spirit arise and your strength be renewed. Come on let us all move together as we follow where He leads. A new life we will receive, if we move with the cloud of His Glory’
We have received grace to arise, so we will arise. God bless you!
