“Be under obligation to no one — the only obligation you have is to love one another. Whoever does this has obeyed the Law.”- Romans 13:8 (GNB)
We owe one another nothing but love. This shows how indispensable we are to one another. This is what the world is missing today. All who claim to be of God need to know God’s divine arrangement to satisfy every individual.
No one on earth is independent! God has not intended it to be so. Our service is needed by someone else. Someone out there needs what I have. Someone has what can and will add value to someone else. It is a law; whatever goes round, comes round. This fundamental principle that we owe one another is the underpinning reason behind people being employed to serve one another.
So, in the world system, you and I are being paid to offer our services to one another and to use our skills to serve one another. If we grasp an understanding of this truth that we are indebted to one another, we will freely offer what we have to others!
At one time or the other, someone would require a Doctor or a Nurse, an Engineer or a Pilot, a Driver or a Cleaner etc., no one is an Island! Everyone has divine endowments, besides what we acquire through training or education, which are indispensable to others.
In our neighbourhood, at our different communities, be it academic community, work-related community, different associations etc, nothing happens by chance; we have all been ordained of God because of our need of one another!
“In God’s institution of the oldest human association in its original traditional pure form, God ‘s purpose for it was companionship; that one person will complement the other. GOD said, “It’s not good for the Man to be alone; I’ll make him a helper, a companion.”- Genesis 2:18 (MSG)
The wisest man ever lived under divine inspiration also said:
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.”- Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NLT)
God is saying, no one succeeds alone, we need one another. Paradoxically, God is saying you owe someone love, no one owes you. In other words, you can give without loving; but you cannot love without giving. So let us get things right. The foremost, and only obligation we have towards one another is love. So look around you and tell yourself; I owe this person next to me love. And start to pay what you owe, the love, not in words but in action.
As we do this, our lives will experience what God has put in others for us, there will be free flow of love and our World will be a better place. Human lives and human dignity shall be enhanced and preserved. Remember all you owe, is love, as you pay what you owe, you will experience true freedom, peace and joy.
God bless you
