“And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was also able to perform”-Romans 4:21

God has power to perform what He promises. Our God is faithful to execute every promise He makes. Our God is true to His Word, He cannot deny what He has spoken; He is able and mighty to keep His Word.

As believers, it is important to be fully satisfied and assured that God watches over His Word, we must individually be convinced that God means every promise He makes.

This is a fundamental condition that must be fulfilled before what we have prayed for or believed God for can be credited to us.

This personal conviction or persuasion only comes if we know Him who makes the promises. You need to know the person of God well enough to be able to trust His word.

God’s promises are delivered at His own chosen and appointed time, the time he judges best for us. This time, is only known to God except when He declares it to us.

For the father of faith Abraham, the reality of the knowledge he had about himself and of his wife did not deter him from being convinced of his ability to possess the blessing God had promised him.

Many times, it is the knowledge we have about a situation that hinders our ability to believe God’s promise over the situation. We often subject what God promises to intellectual analysis in view of the practical reality on ground; and we just cannot imagine how these things can happen.

Often times, we over process things- the information on the internet, the results of investigations, natural progressions of things; or we compare ourselves with people who have similar situations as us.

“Because of faith also, Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it, because she considered (God) who had given the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word”- Hebrews 6:11 (AMP)

God has made ready everything He promises, at the time of pronouncing or delivering the promise. It is only those who believe God and His promise that will receive the physical strength to obtain it.

Whatever God promises you, He is faithful and true to accomplish it. Even when we are unfaithful, He abides faithful still; He is unchanging. He will surely do what He says he will do.

Do not cast away your confidence in His ability and His resourcefulness to bring about the fulfilment of His promises to you.

So wait for it, and have a staying faith in God.
