“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”- Ephesians 6:16
You and I are in covenant relationship with God. So God is committed to us at all times and He has proved it. He has proved His commitment and love for us by giving over His only begotten son- Jesus Christ, Who died for us on the cross, and delivered us from the power of darkness.
God has assured us He will never leave or forsake us. This is a great commitment and should be very reassuring to you and I. What more, God has crafted you and I to show His glorious goodness in us.
“And what if he is willing to make known the wealth of his glory on the vessel of mercy that he has prepared beforehand for glory – even us, whom he has called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?”- Romans 9:23-24 (NET)
So God has chosen to show us His mercy, and consequently make manifest the wealth of His Glory in us and by us. You and I have been created, favoured and prepared beforehand for His Glory.
On our journey in life, we have God’s presence with us. We must not doubt this truth, neither should we ignore or despise this truth. At all times, through the valley of the shadow of death or through fire; while in crises or in comfort; in challenges or in peace; God is with us.
So having given us His word, we must not displease God by living in doubt or in fear. We must live by having faith in His presence, His power and His love. We must take up the shield of faith.
We must not allow any situation to intimidate or overwhelm us. You and I must not let physical or Spiritual circumstances that confront us to be more real to us than the presence of God who is with us at all time to support us. We must not belittle God and magnify the devil or else we will displease God. Our faith in God is evidenced by our serenity in the face of crises or tumult.
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!”- Psalms 46:1-3 (NLT)
Our faith in God is demonstrated by the confidence and courage we display in fearsome situations.
Our faith is proved by having hope even in seeming hopelessness.
We show our faith in God by the kind of words we speak, negative or positive; by the body language we exhibit, subdued or triumphant; especially in trying times or when we do not have control over situations around us.
All that you and I need to do in order to constantly experience God and to continuously obtain His intervention is to please Him. But we cannot please God without exercising Faith in Him. In other words, God intends supernaturally orchestrated outcomes for our lives no matter the odds against us.
God is definitely greater than anything that may be against us, and He has concluded the outcome of our lives before He created us. The outcome is success not failure, it is greatness not smallness, it is conquest not defeat! Our God is beautiful for all our situations, He will reveal His glory through us. Let us please God by having faith in Him.
God bless you!
