“Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered into the Holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us”- Hebrews.9:12
The blood of Jesus is the basis of our eternal redemption; His blood is the price paid for our freedom. Jesus has shed His blood for all.
Everyone needs to receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour to have this freedom. The blood of Jesus is the cost of our transformation from the nature of the devil to God’s nature.
The blood of goats and calves only atones for past sins; it does not set free from a life of sin, because it does not change the human nature.
Since Man’s fall through obedience to the devil, the nature of God in man has been exchanged with that of the devil.
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”- John 8:44
So through the blood of Jesus, we have received again the nature of God. That is why it is eternal redemption, not a temporary redemption.
The blood of Jesus remits our past sins; it also empowers us to live above sin. It enables us to live God’s own life; it changes us from the core: from our hearts. This implies we have received the Spirit of Christ; the mind of Christ, and consequently God’s life- Zoe! Praise God. So the sentence of eternal death, has passed away from us, hence we live forever.
This new nature which we have received is life for life. The life of the flesh is in the blood. Our life was purchased by Jesus giving up His own life for us. It was an exchange, He paid the penalty for our sins. Our redemption is free to us, but at a huge cost to God- His only Son.
Having God’s nature, we are covenant children of God. Therefore, we can assume authority and take up responsibility for the wonderful inheritance which God has for us.
With God’s nature, we regain the fellowship and the intimacy we lost in Adam. We also regain the glorious provision and future God has preserved for us. We have received the nature to hate sin, to live a righteous life and to please God at all times.
Thank God for the blood of Jesus, thank for our redemption, thank God for our transformation.
God Bless You.
