“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”- Psalm 42:1-2

Revival begins when our soul begins to thirst for the Lord Jesus Christ as the living water. A thirsty soul goes all out for water; nothing else will satisfy such a soul as water. In such a thirsty condition, all other things including food, money, material pleasure etc, becomes secondary.

This must be our attitude; our hearts should earnestly seek for God as if nothing else matters, everything else comes after God. Our flesh must long for God as a dry and thirsty land longs for water (Psalm 63:1; Psalm 143:6).

Every life that will encounter and experience the power of God must seek for Him as for hidden treasures (Proverbs 2:3-5). Then our lives will experience a change, a transformation, and a fire which is unquenchable.

We must individually seek and search for God everywhere with all of our hearts. Our hearts must be in total submission to God; it must be influenced and owned by God. He is a jealous God; He will either have all of your heart or none of it. A heart that is divided between God and anything else cannot experience revival.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”- Jeremiah 29:13

Each one of us must follow hard after God (Psalm 63:8), pressing more and more into Him, pursuing God in every circumstance of our lives; when convenient and when inconvenient, when we are happy or unhappy, when things are fine with us or when we cannot explain what is going on in our lives.

As we study His Word, we will encounter God, this will give us an understanding of Who God is, and grant us a revelation of God’s personality and principles.

We encounter God as we spend time alone with Him. This can be through personal retreat, staying away from the crowd, rising up early before dawn, worshipping all night or all day in His presence.

Our world is becoming very busy, many things are crying for our attention. Except we deliberately prioritize our time with God, we will not be able to spend quality and sufficient time with Him, which is required for us to contact the fire in His presence.

Brethren, if we want God to use us to do significant things we must set our affection and attention on Him. We must seek His presence and not only His presents, we must love Him fervently and desire Him more than all else.

This attitude and lifestyle will bring us into fellowship with Him and turn us into His agents to fulfil His eternal agenda. God is waiting for us.

God bless you!
