“In everything, give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”- 1 Thess 5:18
It is the will of God to give thanks in everything. Our God is thanks-worthy. We are who we are as individuals by the grace of God; in other words, we owe who we are to God, and we owe what we have to God.
“It is in God that we live, move and have our being”- Acts 17:28.
We owe our being to God. He provides opportunity for us in Himself. He is the source of our lives. His spirit in us makes us to be alive. Without His spirit, we are dead. We owe God who we are, whatever our status, ability, skill and uniqueness.
“….. Which in time past were not a people but are now the people of God; which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy”- 1 Peter 2:10
God the Father became God the Son, He became our propitiation; he had to pay the supreme price to redeem us to Himself. Our transformation and redemption was at God’s instance, it was at a cost to God, so we should be thankful. Being a child of God makes us special, it makes us peculiar and distinguished, and we are honourable. Indeed, it is in Him we have our being.
“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God”-Col 3:3
It is in Him that we live:
Our life is hidden with Christ in God. We reside inside of Jesus Christ, inside of God. Therefore, we are well fortified; we are well protected and well secured in God.
No wonder the Lord Jesus Christ said, “Because I live, ye shall live also”. As God’s people, as believers, we will live forever because Jesus Christ in whom we reside lives forever. He will never die again. Therefore, we are never exposed, we are never alone, we are never vulnerable, we are surrounded and enveloped by His Shekinah glory, we should be thankful.
Truly, we live in the secret place of the Most High, and we abide under His shadow! Several weapons are fashioned against us, but they never prosper and will never prosper.
“No weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper…”- Isaiah 54:17.
In Him we move:
“When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah was his sanctuary and Israel his dominion. The sea saw it, and fled; Jordan was driven back, the mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lands” – Psalm.114:1-4
Obstacles, barriers, giants etc, all give way because it is in Him we move, everywhere we go we carry His presence, doors open on their own accord. Nothing can stand on our way. We must be thankful.
For us, we are unstoppable and unhinderable, it is forward ever, making progress and advancing all the way. Let us be thankful.
God Bless You!
