THE KINGDOM OF GOD- PART 2

“And He said unto them, when ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. – Luke 11:2

It is the prayer our Lord Jesus Christ prayed and worked for, all through His time on the earth: That the Kingdom of the Father should come and be established on earth as it has already been established in heaven.

This prayer is also given to us as God’s children and Christ’s disciples as a principal prayer guideline not only to be prayed all the time, but also to live and work for.

Jesus came to the world to represent the Father on earth, so that as the Kingdom of God is established in heaven; God would establish the same on earth through Him. The Father sent the son, and the son has also sent us to accomplish the mandate. Jesus’ whole life was about the business of the kingdom. Even as a teenager, He exclaimed, “I must be about my Father’s business” (Luke 2:49).

For the kingdom of God to come on earth there has to be a change of the King over the earthly domain. There has to be a dethronement of the ‘god’ of this world- the devil. The power and authority that the devil has and exercises over lives, homes, communities, nations and the world at large must be taken off him.

Consequently, our Father-God must become the King, the power and authority over all individuals, families, nations and the whole earth must become that of our Lord Jesus Christ and of our God.

This is the reason why we are on earth. This will take waging a war against the devil; just like our Father waged war against him in heaven to effect a total take-over. We have the Spirit of our Father; so we can take dominion over the devil here on earth and effect a change of authority, just as God has absolute dominion and authority in heaven.

As we root out the authority of the devil from planet earth, automatically, the culture will change from that of wickedness to a culture of righteousness, from a culture of crisis to that of peace, from a culture of slavery and bondage to that of liberty and freedom.

As the King of Peace is enthroned; sorrow and sadness will be replaced by joy and happiness; darkness will be replaced by light. God’s will, shall be established in all the nations and all over the lives of people.

As we desire God’s kingdom, let us pursue it. The proof of desire is pursuit. As God is in heaven, so are we in this world, so let us be committed to what God would have been committed to, if He were it to be here on earth.

Let us commit ourselves to what He has saved us and equipped us for. We are more than able because God is at work in us, to will and to do of His good pleasure.

Have you enlisted in God’s army on earth? It is open to all God’s people. An appeal is going out all the time.

GOD BLESS YOU!
