“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”- Ephesians 2:5-6 (KJV)
Jesus has accomplished what is required for us to have the full right of sonship. On the Cross, He carried all our sins, shame and reproach. He took it all upon Himself willingly.
Jesus was forsaken by God, as He bore our sins on the cross. The judgement and condemnation meant for you and I was placed upon Him.
As Jesus died, we died in Him, so also, we were raised to life in Him, when God raised Him from the dead. This is the reason why, to be born again, all we need to do is to receive Jesus into our lives as our Lord and Saviour.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”- 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
So, one reality of redemption is that we have to be in Christ to become a new person. We have to be in Christ to be born again. We have to be in Christ to be sons of God. Being in Christ means that you and I have become one with Him. You and I must always remember that if you are born again, you are in Christ.
“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”- Colossians 3:3 (KJV)
As believers, we must always see ourselves in Christ Jesus. When Jesus arose, we were made alive with Him. As He was quickened, we were quickened with Him also. We have God’s life: Zoe, on the inside of us. The life that made God, the eternal God; the indestructible life.
As believers, we have been raised together with Christ. We are now seated at the right of God with Him, since we have become united with Him.
We have been raised to a new dimension of glory with Him; seated with Him in the heavenly places, far above principality and power, therefore, we have authority and dominion over them. We are above, and not just above, but far above all principality and power, so you and I are seated in a higher realm.
This is the reality of our redemption. We must live and walk with this understanding. We must see ourselves in the light of this truth and revelation, we must live with this boldness and exude confidence.
We must be strong in the Lord by default and not be a weakling. We must not go by our feelings, we must always act based on the revelation of the truth. We must walk in the realities of the resurrection life that Jesus has purchased for us.
God bless you.
