Our History

God’s Vineyard Ministries (GVM) was founded in Nottingham, United Kingdom by Dr Ezekiel Olusegun Alawale and

his beloved wife Dr (Mrs) Funmi Alawale.

Dr Ezekiel Alawale (a trained General Surgeon) and his wife, a trained Physiotherapist, founded GVM in March 2001, whilst working as a Registrar in Paediatric Surgery of Royal Alexander Hospital for sick children in Brighton UK.

Under their faithful stewardship and spiritual oversight, the Ministry now has 6 Churches in the United Kingdom; namely GVC Nottingham, GVC Loughborough, GVC Derby, GVC Birmingham, GVC London, GVC Leicester.

In August 2013, GVM held the Inaugural meeting of her Branch Church in Lagos, Nigeria. Today the Ministry has an additional Church in Abuja, Nigeria.

In 2003, GVM started a dynamic and vibrant Youth Fellowship, popularly known as ‘The Radical Youth’. A Christian youth fellowship that has touched and transformed the lives of many youths. The Radical Youth fellowship is presently established in over 27 University Campuses across the UK, and still growing.

To God be the glory!
