“And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?””-Luke 2:49

There is a divine transaction that the Lord has always intended to carry out on the earth. It is the business of winning souls into the Kingdom of God. It entails transferring people from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of light. God has an interest in the planet earth.

People in the kingdom of darkness are in the devil’s enclave under his wicked dominion, so the devil rules over them; he exerts his control in their hearts and consequently influences their behaviour.

Whatever controls a man’s heart, rules his thought pattern and dictates his lifestyle.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:…”- Proverbs 23:7

The business of God our Father is to deliver all men’s heart from the stronghold of the devil. Our God wants everyone liberated; He wants everyone totally free: spirit, soul and body. This is our Father’s business.

All of us who are God’s children today have had this divine transaction executed over our lives: by being delivered and transferred from the kingdom of the devil to that of the Living God, through human agents who preached the gospel to us.

God has committed the Word and Ministry of reconciliation to us. We are custodians of the Word of grace that can bring man back to God and encounter God’s saving grace.

“That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf,”- 2 Corinthians 5:19-20

Our lives priority must be this Kingdom business; if we commit to it, we will bring hope to humanity. If we are non-chalant about it; we leave the whole of creation groaning and in pain.

While we go all out for the Father’s business, we attract God’s presence and His pleasure over our lives. We attract his backing and we guarantee our sustenance by God’s Kingdom. God becomes our employer, and He ensures that what others struggle and labour for, are added to us.

To do this, we need to employ the strategy of ‘Target Evangelism’. This is when we reach out to our unsaved friends, colleagues or relatives with the gospel and pray that their lives will be transformed from the power of sin to righteousness, from being helpless victim of Satan’s  three-fold agenda: to steal, to kill and to destroy, to God’s agenda of overflowing life.

God bless you!

“Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; and looking upon Jesus as He walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! And the two disciples heard him speak, and followed Jesus”

John 1:36-37

We are the living witnesses of the true and living God. We are kingdom citizens living on earth. Of all God’s creation, we are the only ones God shared His spirit with; we have been made special, we have been privileged to have dominion over all His creation. We are God’s treasured possession; we occupy His mind at all times.

Besides the general privileges we all enjoy from God, each of us is a living witness of the impact our encounter with God has produced in our lives. Through our acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, God has changed our lives; He has turned our lives around. Our experiences with God are diverse and unique and marked a turning point in all our lives.

No matter how unpopular Jesus may seem in our society today, we must not live in denial of Him! We must live daily acknowledging His impact on our lives; He has changed our course and He has changed our destiny. We were nobody, having lost all our self worth and living a life of vanity and hopelessness; He gave our lives essence; Jesus gave our lives hope, He gave us a future.

God wants to do in the lives of others what He has done in your life and mine. God loves everyone around us as He loves you and me. Let us individually target people around us, let each one of us become partners with God as we share this burden the Lord has for our siblings, parents, colleagues, housemates, course-mates etc.

Let us not waste time anymore, let us not delay our action any longer. Every opportunity to share our testimony with others that we miss means more people missing out on God’s love and salvation. Let us share our testimonies intentionally; let us develop passion for the lost. Let us target our neighbours prayerfully.

As we intercede for our people we free their hearts, and prepare their hearts to be a fertile ground for the seed of the Word of God that we eventually share with them.

Remember, “… he that winneth souls is wise.” (Proverbs 11:30)

“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.”- Daniel 12:3

Let us not receive His grace in vain, let us share the gospel with everyone, and as we do, we shall be wise and shine forever and ever. Amen!

God Bless You

“Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.”- Isaiah 66:7-8

Every child birth is naturally preceded by a period of labour. What has been conceived and carried in the womb for months can only come forth naturally through the travail of labour.

God has only one thing conceived in His mind; He had only one burden right from the time humanity was lost to Satan through Adam’s sin. This burden is the salvation of mankind, the redemption of humanity, the establishment of God’s Kingdom on earth.

God’s desire is that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. He would have all men to be saved and transformed from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of His own dear Son Jesus Christ. This will happen through revival- God’s Spirit coming on people as a wave that brings conviction and turns people to repentance from sin unto God.

God’s plan and purpose will not occur except there is a travail in prayer, akin to a woman in labour for child birth.

John Wesley rightly said “God does nothing on earth save in answer to believing prayer.”

Also, S.D. Gordon said “You can do more than pray after you have prayed, but you cannot do more than pray until you have prayed.… Prayer is striking the winning blow; service is gathering up the results.”

As this is true, I should be determined to lose a little sleep for prayer. I’ll change my lifestyle for prayer. I’ll turn the T.V off or reduce the hours I spend on social media and internet games or even miss a meal, and spend hours to pray.

Our prayers will bring revival; it will bring down strongholds and barriers. God shapes our world and its events through prayer. Prayer is a spiritual force; it moves the hand of God and allows God to take responsibility over the affairs of His creation.

As labour brings what is in obscurity to limelight, so does prayer. Labour is hard work, so also is effective prayer; it will push through, and bring forth God’s agenda for humanity.

Prayer will create an atmosphere for God’s move and manifestation. If we want to change our nations, we must be ready to labour in prayer. If we want to bear God’s influence in our world, we must be ready to give ourselves to the business of prayer.

Remember, the secret of having influence with men is having influence with God, and that is in the place of prayer. God Bless You!

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”- Psalm 85:6

Revival is re-awakening. It is akin to putting fuel on a dying flame or fire. It is turning a dull light to a bright and glowing light.

Revival has to do with people who already have life; it is restoring fire into a people whose lives and zeal for the Lord seems to be ebbing away. It is changing a lukewarm disposition to a hot, firebrand attitude.

It is to become fervent in Spirit; and to be on fire for God. We all need revival, and it has to begin with our individual lives. This will in turn ignite the whole Church-the body of Christ with the fire of the Holy Spirit, thus presenting God to the whole world in a form that will make Him irresistible.

People, communities and nations shall be drawn to God, they shall rejoice as they find life, hope, joy, fulfilment, purpose, deliverance, salvation in God. They shall rejoice as they discover God’s love for mankind.

But for us to experience revival, it will begin with us taking some necessary steps:

We must turn away from the things that drive us away from God; these are the fire extinguishers. We must all individually reflect on our lives and where found necessary repent from secret sins; these are the “little foxes that spoil our vines.”

We must confess and turn away from ungodly habits that we are addicted to; these will rob us of intimacy with God.

We must lay aside every weight and sin that easily beset us; these will slow and weigh us down. We must empty ourselves of self and every form of carnality- the works of the flesh i.e. bitterness, pride, unforgiveness, gossip, sexual immorality. So that God can fill our lives with Himself.

A life of holiness is fundamentally important for anyone who wants to experience revival. No holiness, no presence of God; no righteousness, no anointing of the Holy Spirit; and without the Holy Spirit to fuel you and me, there will be no fire of revival.

“Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.”- Psalm 45:7

One secret of revival is a deep love for righteousness and passion for a life of holiness. The basis of divine exaltation in power and glory is righteousness and holy living.

A vessel that God cannot touch or relate closely with on a constant basis cannot experience revival and cannot be used of God for revival.

So let us put our lives in order and God will honour our resolve.

God bless you!
